Elizabeth Doucette L.M.T

Elizabeth studied the art of Therapeutic Massage with Aunty Mary Golden in 1993. Aunty Mary taught and practiced and lived Aloha until the day she died. She taught with heart and passion Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, the massage for the Royal Families of the Hawaiian Islands. With Elizabeth she instilled the gifts and essence of her spirit to continue this work. Elizabeth has since been practicing, traveling and healing from her hands and her heart.

Traveling Therapy was incorporated in 1994 and has been helping people with stress relief and pain relief in states such as Colorado, Montana, Alaska, Utah, Idaho, Maine and now Virginia. Bringing Non- Invasive, Therapeutic Massage into many homes and offices has been the main stay of this business. She has traveled extensively with her studies and with her life to bring experience from over four decades to the table.

Elizabeth has worked through many Salons, Day Spas, Chiropractic Offices and Medical establishments. She has continued to study various forms of Body Work, including the John Barnes method of Myofascial Release over the past 20 years and has taught Massage through many Adult Education Programs in Maine and Colorado.

Always, Traveling Therapy has maintained an office space in addition to allowing her healing sessions to occur in the comfort of your own home. This gives clients a choice as to where the session may be the most comfortable.

Currently, Elizabeth is maintaining an office through West Lake Salon and Spa in West LakeTowne Center at Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia and traveling to peoples homes at their request. Traveling Therapy continues to thrive as more and more people become aware of the continuing benefits of regular massage therapy and the authentic healing of Myofascial Release. More research in the medical field has indicated that regular use of massage therapy has unlimited beneficial aspects and can rival the use of any medication or traditional western healing modalities. Complimentary medicine is on the rise and massage has been at the top of the list for what people are reaching for first!
